Trauma Conference International is presented by Global Trauma Conference, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality trauma education to healthcare professionals throughout the world by leveraging new technologies to provide access through sustainable, affordable means.
Three of the founders of Trauma Conference International (TCI) were also founding members of the Arizona Trauma Association (ATA) in 2006 – Drs. David Notrica, Peter Rhee and Chris Salvino. The three trauma surgeons grew ATA’s regional conference into a national event and hosted it for seven years. The surgeons recognized the need to provide this valuable continuing education to Arizona and across the United States. The simulcast option, which is a live broadcast of the event, was a revolutionary idea for surgical conferences and it allowed participants to view the speakers, their slides, and ask questions as if they were in the actual meeting room . Drs. Notrica, Rhee and Salvino also understood there was a need for a truly international trauma conference in which everything was shared equally from one world region to another. To that end, the three doctors recognized that board positions, speakers, location, and even language, should be shared like never before. Simulcast would continue to play an integral part in the way that trauma education is delivered.
