Paula Ferrada, MD, FACS

Dr Ferrada is Associate Professor of Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She is the Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program and Medical Director of the Surgical & Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) for the VCU Health System.

She is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the PanAmerican Trauma Society, and the Association of Women Surgeons. She is a member of the Councilor of Young Fellows Association and President-elect of the Virginia Chapter-American College of Surgeons.

In 2016, Dr. Ferrada received the Irby-James Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University.
